8 Instagram Accounts that are Inspiring me Right Now

So this week I felt a bit uninspired. It happens sometimes for me after a long week – especially if I don’t really do any preplanning for the blog! But for some reason, I just couldn’t land on a topic that I felt even remotely passionate about for this week. I don’t really want to write about topics that aren’t relevant to our lives at this moment, but I was getting kind of desperate because I wanted to write about something! So, I sat down and asked myself – what inspires me? It doesn’t have to be something dramatic like going out to dinner at a fancy restaurant or taking a trip to a park and just walking around – but I know myself, and I know that I sometimes unconsciously adapt things into my life – little things – that make me happy and keep me going. That’s when it hit me – bloggers inspire me! Every day (as embarrassing as it sounds…) I scroll through my faavorite bloggers instagram accounts and listen, look, and smile through all of the stories and content they post on their accounts. Why do I do this purposeful and borderline creepy act? Because they inspire me. Each account is so different but they all make me excited to create, explore, think, and live in this crazy beautiful world we are on. I’m not kidding, I can seriously feel my mood lighten when I look at their pictures because I always think – OHH I love love that, I wonder if I could create something like that on my own? Or, I never thought about traveling that way – maybe trev and I could take Savy on a little staycation this year! It’s so easy to get boxed into a life that feels lackluster and uninspiring – and while I don’t ever wish I was living the lives of these women, they always make me feel excited to Re-explore my own life and the wonderful opportunities I have here. You know? Anyways, I wanted to show you all my top 8 instagram accounts that are inspiring me right now, and while 6 of the 8 are also moms, I really want to emphasize that these women are so much more than mom bloggers! Now that I’m thinking about it, maybe that’s why I love their accounts to much right now? They really move forward with their own dreams and ambitions – but don’t in any way make me feel like I have to choose. I can be completely obsessed with my daughter and also create new passions that are just for me! I hope you enjoy their pages just like me – and I would also love to hear about any accounts that you are following that inspire you!

  1. 1. Filipa Jackson

I discovered Filipa when I first had Savannah and I immediately gravitated towards her page because shes such an open book! From her daughter, to her mental health, to her home, and entrepreneurial efforts, she does it all but never gives off the illusion that shes just floating along with a smile and wonderful good fortune. Her stories are SO fun to watch and her style is impeccable- not to mention her little daughter Skye is one month younger than Savy so it’s cool to see just how different babies can truly be! She also does a wonderful job at making that known – that while her little may be super advanced in some areas, shes still learning in others – just like Savannah. There is zero mom shaming or comparing on her page – just inspiring and creating! She also lives in Canada *swoon* so she takes theeee dreamiest staycations in the most beautiful air bnbs and I have never wanted to go on a staycation like that in my life. Granted, a staycation in Nebraska isn’t going to be nearly the same enjoyment, its still an awesome and budget friendly idea! Especially during COVID..!

Ashley Patrone is the creator of Arrowsandbow and I just love everything about her – her personality, her relationship with God, her style design, her constant uplifting, and her impeccable ability to trust her own instincts and just do it! She has an ever evolving style when it comes to décor and she is completely fearless when it comes to trying something completely random or something that just popped into her head in that exact moment! I really love watching her work her magic with DIYing and combining old with new products, because it gives me own ideas for my own décor (which is a lot a lot of old 😂). You always see her family in her stories and on her posts and she celebrates every single one of them. Her relationship with her husband Dino is too cute and they really make a point to prioritize their relationship and talk openly about their struggles as individuals and couples – which is so refreshing! Since having Savannah, I can honestly say I have shifted my priorities to her and while it hasn’t put a strain on my relationship with Trev, I can absolutely see how it takes so much work to create balance with all of the relationships that are near and dear to me. They have been married for 14 years I think? Something like that – and they are expecting their 4th little one! So often we see mom bloggers using their platform to only focus on their homes OR their littles – but rarely do they show focus on their relationship with their husband! So, as a woman who has been married for 3 years and a mom for 9 months, I have a LOT to learn and I love finding inspiring women I can learn from – even if I don’t personally know them 😂

Erin is the creator of Cottonstem and she is so fun to follow! She has 4 girls, this impeccable farm house/bohemian style that’s so unique but so doable, a personal style with a wardrobe that doesn’t break the bank and overflow the closet (she creates seasonal wardrobe capsules that are seriously so smart), and she is also a fellow curly haired lady who never learned how to manage her own curls so shes slowly learning the process! As an adult, I’m finally getting to a place where I’m comfortable wearing my hair curly – but I have no idea how to really work with it! I’m also learning that just because we both have curly hair, it does not mean the same products will work for the both of us – and she taught me that! How did I not know that?? Also, just like Arrowsandbow, she is comfortable talking about the amount of work it takes to maintain the relationship with her children AND husband! She also openly talks about therapy and how her and her husband continually seek it out as a way of fine tuning their relationship and nipping any potential problems in the bud before they escalate and become bigger problems – and I gotta say, I love that. I feel like from the moment I got married to the moment I had a baby, there is this absolutely bizarre notion that we *have* to know what we’re doing 100% of the time, with zero prior experience and no help. It’s like because we decided we wanted to be husband and wife we were telling the world that we absolutely know how to handle each other for the rest of our lives – which is insanity! I have no problem asking for help and I think younger couples and new parents would fair so much better if it was normalized that asking for help is absolutely ok and important!  Anyways, Erin is super lighthearted and just an open book. She also has some AWESOME DIY projects! One recent one she did is stenciling her back patio and I’m going to convince Trevor to let me do that to our front porch this spring! SO cute and makes such a difference!

Sara Parsons is the very first instagram account I started following for her aesthetic and her *amazing* home renovations. She lives with her family on a small chunk of land in either Seattle or Oregon (I’m not quite sure) that requires a FAIRY to take them to and from the mainland. It’s absolutely dreamy. Her style is Anthropologie meets garden nymph and its just a complete vibe! When I want to just look at pictures and get inspired – I go to her page. They just make me so happy and seriously gives me the travel bug because of all of those trees and greenery! So gorgeous. She also has the cutest, comfy chic style! She adds beautiful, flowy dresses and shirts, with comfortable denim and boots or Sandals. Like I said – a complete vibe!

These last 4 accounts I have listed are all new follows for me – but are so beautiful! Jules Denby’s page is *literally* all of your fall aspirations and desires. Her curated photos are absolutely aesthetically fall and give you all of the warm, comfy vibes and makes you want to immediately drink a pumpkin spice latte, in a sweater with boots, looking at a fall trees, while sitting in a pile of leaves. She gives you pictures of fall scenery, food, home décor – the whole shebang! If you need to find a good fall aesthetic page to follow – go check hers out! If you’re all fall’d out already – fear not! She follows all of the seasons! You can scroll through her page and see all of the seasons in their beautiful, picturesque glory!

If you have been following me, you know that I have been on a real foodie journey since having Savannah! Because I had to go soy, dairy, and egg free, I got really into baking and cooking for myself because the products in stores that excluded those items were few and far between with a hefty price tag. So when I stumbled upon Serendipty by Sara Lynn, I knew I had found a good one. Not only are her food pictures *stunning* but there isn’t a single meal on their that I don’t want to try and make for myself! Her food blog is so beautiful too, and incredibly detailed so those newbie cookers like myself aren’t thrown off by any weird directions! Did I mention her pictures are beautiful? Definitely recommend checking her page out!

Divine on the Road is a girl named Sydney Ferbrache and I am living vicariously through her and her van life. I actually found her on tik tok  originally but was so wowed by her super cool lifestyle that I found her on insta and became a quick follow! She started living/traveling/working from a renovated van and has since traveled all over the United States with her 2 dogs, creating beautiful content and producing a podcast along the way! She is so fun to follow and lives such a uniquely different life than mine that I can’t help but love to follow along! I mean, I’m not in any hurry to sell our house and travel in a moderate sized van with Savannah and Trevor and our pets, but that doesn’t mean that I can’t appreciate the simplicity and just overall badassness this girls life has become! If you are into the van life or just super curious, check her page out! It’s fun to think “what if’s” with a page like hers!

This last page is SO good! Pumpkinandgray is Jessica and her amazingly autumn inspired aesthetic and her beautiful little family. She takes autumn and all of its beautiful intricacies and makes it a full blown lifestyle! Her daughter is named Salem (I mean how freaking cute is that??) and  2 sons named Wy and Bear (again – SO CUTE.) She has such a cute style and just overall fun, eclectic vibe! Also, if you go to her blog you can view all of her collaborations and she actually, truly collaborated with the town of Salem, Massachusetts (she named her daughter after the town) and my goodness – ITS SO COOL! If you didn’t know already, Trev and I named Savannah after Savannah, Georgia where we spent our honeymoon and just completely fell in love with. So THIS is so so cool to me! Check her page out – you wont be disappointed!
